Philippe Starck – Design Genius

Philippe Starck is a French designer and probably the best in the New Design style. His designs range from spectacular interior designs to mass produced consumer goods such as toothbrushes, furniture, and even houses.

Here are some of my favorite interior designs by Starck that I’ve been to:

Le Royal Monceau Hotel, Paris :

Katsuya restaurant, Los Angeles:

Bon restaurant, Paris:

Sanderson Hotel, London:

Kong restaurant, Paris:

Ramses restaurant, Madrid:

Mama Shelter Hotel, Paris:

Yoo Miami: (uber-cool residential interior design team)

Household items by Starck:

Now you tell me you don’t want to live in the world of Starck… 😉

  1. I’m not that big of a fan of Philippe Starck’s (as he can get a lil too avant-garde at times) but there are always times that his work could easily be irresistable. His work for hotel that I love the most has to be Fasano Rio, probably because I have been addicted to anything brown(from the lightest to the darkest shade) ever since I was little.

speaking of Fasano Rio, I’m curious to find out what you think of South America travel scene.

  2. Have always been a fan of Starck, one of the greatest industrial designers of our time. His designs are quirky and emotion provokers. Loves to take a jab at things and how we percieve things to be in our daily lives.
