PGA TOUR: CIMB Asia Pacific Classic

For the first time in Southeast Asia, the PGA TOUR has chosen Malaysia to create an exciting new tournament in the golfing calendar: The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic. With an amazing prize purse of US6 million, one of the region’s richest, the top players in the USPGA’s Fedex Cup and the best from the Asian Tour competed fiercely on the luscious fairways and green of the Mines Resort & Golf Club.

The beautiful lake of The Mines Resort & Golf Club.

Ernie Els, three-time Major winner.

Malaysia being a true golfer’s paradise with over 204 golf courses spread throughout the country, many spectators (around 25,000) braved the heat to take the opportunity, like us, to watch these fantastic players “live”.

British Luke Donald, finished in the top 5.

Singaporean  Mardan Mamat finished in the top 10.

I discovered that PZ knew almost all the golfers by their names and that she was even a fan of Rickie Fowler and Adam Scott! Congrats to the American Ben Crane the winner of this inaugural PGA Tour event, and thank you to the organizers for inviting us. We will definitely be back next year!

Here they come…

You can’t miss Rickie Fowler on a golf course. (Halloween?)

Adam Scott from Australia.
