Top 10 Books on Business

Fascinating to see how books on business are growing by the truckload but do you think it’s all down to Mr Credit Crunch? As a self-confessed bookaholic, I’d like to share my fave top 10 business books of the month and open the floor to you fellow bloggers, bookaholics and business tycoons to add, comment, criticize or just browse.

# 10: The Undercover Economist – Tim Harvard (Abacus)

# 9: Life’s a Pitch: How to sell yourself and your brilliant ideas – Stephen Bayley and Roger Mavity (Corgi Books)

 # 8: Trump: Think Big – Donald Trump and Bill Zanker (Collins Business)

 # 7:  The Second Bounce of the Ball: Turning Risk into Opportunity – Ronald Cohen (Phoenix)

 # 6: Enter the Dragon – Theo Paphitis (Orion Books)

  # 5: The Secret – Rhonda Byrne (Simon & Schuster Ltd)

  # 4: Tycoon – Peter Jones (Hodder)

 # 3: Richard Branson: Business stripped bare, Adventures of a Global Entrepreneur – Richard Branson (Virgin Publishing)

  # 2: Blue Ocean Strategy: How to create uncontested market space and make the  competition irrelevant – W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne (Harvard Business School Press)

# 1: Dragon’s Den: Success from pitch to profit – Dragon’s Den BBC (Harper Collins)

As a fan of the BBC show (thanks to YouTube), Dragon’s Den is addictive and the book is great – not only does it have wise tips, but a breakdown of the entrepreneurs’ successes and the dragons’ tale. Maybe you’ll see us on there one day, or maybe it will be YOU.

  1. Great list! If you like rule changers like Richard Branson and Donald Trump, bet you’ll like “The Impossible Advantage: Winning the Competitive Game by Changing the Rules” (Wiley & Sons). Both are discussed in the book along with other great case studies. (
